Folder

• A folder, also called a directory, is a space used to store documents and other folders. like - files, songs, videos, etc.

• Folders help you keep your files separate.

• A folder is an area on a computer that contains other folders and files. Files may be contained in a folder and may contain information used by the operating system or other programs on the computer.

• Right click on the blank space > go to new option > click on folder.

Note - 

• When no name is given in the folder, a folder is created with the name of New Folder.
• We cannot create two folders with the same name at one place.
• Folder is always yellow color which we can change if we want.
• We cannot create folders with all these names like con, lpt1 to 10, prn, nul because these are all reserved keywords of MS-DOS.

5. How to Rename any files or Folder?

• Right Click on the folder or file > click on rename option
• Select file or folder > press f2 button from keyboard

6. How to Delete any files or folders?

• Right click on the folder > click on delete option
• Select and press Delete button or CTRL + D from keyboard

7. Where goes to deleted folder?

• Deleted folder goes to Recycle bin.

8. What is Recycle Bin?

• Recycle bin is a container where deleted files or folders are temporarily stored. You can easily recover accidentally deleted files or folders from Recycling Bin.

9. How to Recover Deleted files or Folder?

• Open Recycle bin > Right click on the file or folder > click on restore.

Note - The restored file or folder will be recovered at the same place from where it was deleted.

10. How to change folder icon?

• Right Click on the folder > click on properties > click customize > Click change icon then choose icon which you want > click ok > apply > ok
